Take a free AI interview right now — just start talking

Pick the role you are interviewing for, allow the microphone, and an AI interviewer will ask you questions out loud — one at a time, following up on what you actually say, exactly like a first round. At the end you get a score for every topic with what to fix. Nothing to install, no account — free for 5 minutes, and if you want to keep going you sign in and continue from the same question. Your voice never leaves your browser: only the words are sent.

It stays on topic

The interviewer works from a fixed skill set for your role and a strict rulebook: one question at a time, no answering for you, no off-topic chat — and it steers you back if the answer drifts.

It listens properly

Vague, unquantified or second-hand answers get a follow-up that quotes what you said. Strong answers move the interview on, just like a real loop.

You get a real report

Per-topic scores with verdicts, strengths, what to work on and a readiness call — usable the same evening before the real interview.

Free AI interview FAQ

Do I need an account to practise?

No. This page runs a real AI voice interview without any sign-up — free for the first 5 minutes. After that you can either take your scored report, or sign in with Google and the interview continues exactly where it left off on your new ApplyRight account.

What happens when the free 5 minutes are up?

You choose: end the interview and get the report for what was covered, or sign in to continue. Nothing is lost on sign-in — the conversation, the job description and any resume you attached move to your account automatically, and the resume is saved to your profile so you are never asked for it again. A free account includes 30 minutes of AI interview time in total (the first 5 count), after which Pro unlocks unlimited practice.

Can I use my resume without an account?

Yes — attach a PDF (or paste the text) before starting and the interviewer tailors its questions to your background. If you later sign in, the PDF is attached to your profile automatically.

Is my voice recorded or uploaded?

No. Speech recognition runs inside your browser; only the recognised words are sent so the interviewer can evaluate the answer. No audio is uploaded or stored.

How long does it take?

About 10 minutes — a handful of questions across three topics for your role, with follow-ups on what you say. You can end early at any point and still get the report.

Which browsers support the voice interview?

Chrome, Edge and Safari (desktop and Android) support in-browser speech recognition. On other browsers the same interview works by typing your answers.

What does the interviewer ask?

It follows a fixed skill set for the role you pick — for example API and service design, data modelling, scalability and production ownership for a backend engineer — plus a behavioural topic. It stays on those topics, asks one question at a time, and follows up when an answer is vague.
