Resume check FAQ
Do I need an account to check my resume?
No. Paste your resume and get a score and fixes with no sign-up. ApplyRight saves the result so you can log in afterward and keep it, but the check itself works for anonymous visitors.
How is the score calculated?
Two parts, blended: a structure/ATS-readiness score (contact info, sections, bullet points, quantified achievements, action verbs) and a keyword-match score against the skills that currently-open roles on ApplyRight are asking for.
Where do the "missing keywords" come from?
From the same job data ApplyRight's company, role and city pages use — the skills scraped from live openings. A missing keyword also shows how many open roles mention it and which companies, so the feedback is concrete, not generic.
What happens to my pasted resume?
It's saved so your result isn't lost if you log in afterward — that's what the post-result prompt is for. It is not shared with employers and is only used to generate your score and fixes.
What do I get by logging in afterward?
Your check stays attached to your profile, you can re-check as you improve your resume, and you unlock full AI rewrite suggestions plus one-click apply to the roles it was scored against.
